Portuguese tarts at Lord Stow's Garden Cafe, Macau

Lord Stow's Bakery, originally owned by an Englishman, Andrew Stow, was the first in Macau to sell Portugese egg tarts. Another popular joint that sells them closer in town is Cafe e Nata, created by ex-wife of Stow when they seperated.

Cafe e Nata is extremely popular, and also seems to be packed full of people! Maybe it's the convenient location, combined with the delicious, flaky tarts that makes this place impossible to find a seat. However, I prefer the quiet ambience at Lord Stow's.

There are various locations of Lord Stow's, mostly all of them are situated on Coloane.

The extensive menu included many main meals and desserts. But of course, you can't go past the thing that they are most famous for...
Piping hot, melt in your mouth tarts. I could eat a tray of these in one sitting! hehe

MGM Grand Macau, MGM Patisserie

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the casino was this patisserie, full of delicious looking sandwiches, cakes, pastries, quiches and chocolate! It was tough trying to decide what to try as everything looked so good!

They had an afternoon tea deal for $88 MOP which includes a sandwich and cake of your choice, and coffee or tea.

Awesome sandwich with some kind of ham and brie- tasty and the bread was so good!

If my memory serves me right, this was a peach and pistachio mousse cake- the selection of cakes were so pretty and they all looked yum so it was decisions decisions!!

This one doesn't look like anything special, but looks can be deceiving!! A creamy mango and coconut combination.

My drink- Pink Rose, which was a blend of pineapple juice, strawberry, mango and some other fruit, it mainly tasted like banana though!

I'm back!

Touched down in Sydney at 7:25am this morning! Didn't sleep on the plane at all so feeling pretty tired- have a tonne of photos to upload and will post when I'm feeling less jetlagged!

This is a month to enjoy. Mercury offers exciting career prospects, while Jupiter brings love or surprises. Your social life gets a boost, with travel also on the cards. Been feeling pretty up and down this last week. I'm leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow, and hopefully it's time to let my mind be free for a while. I've kind of stopped obsessing over things, and tried to let myself take things as they come. If it happens, it happens! There's no point analysing every single detail and agonising over it!

It's easy to say, but harder to do I guess.

Holidays will take my mind off everything hopefully! Here I come!!
